Abstract : Abstract: In the context of a 2-D linearized version of wave-structure interaction theory, the interaction of ocean waves with a “flexible sort of vertical porous membrane wave barrier” deployed over an undulating seabed is analyzed. The “interaction of waves” with a “submerged permeable vertical membrane” is described using a straightforward framework. For numerical solution, boundary element method (BEM) has been used, and for analytical solution, the eigenfunction expansion method has been us ... >>More

Abstract : A semi analytic solution of nonlinear (n+1)-dimensional Burgers' equation has been proposed in the present study. The proposed solution has been obtained by homotopy perturbation method (HPM). In the present study the physical behaviour of the system has been discussed when viscosity factor is very small, that is, viscosity factor approaches to zero. The technique has been implemented on small values of the viscosity factor such as ε = 10^(-7). The potential of the technique has been checked ... >>More

Abstract : Investment preferences of investors depend on the risk appetite and the risks faced by them which are mainly credit and market risks. Quantification of these risks are done by assigning a credit rating (derived through probability of default (PD) to the issuer of the stock and Value at Risk (VaR) number. In this study an effort is made to reduce the cost of computation of PD with no compromise on the accuracy by the use of existing models. The simulated PD is used to make buy/sell recommendati ... >>More
